The artist
Truly passionate about art at an early age, Charles C. Richer wrote several manuscripts during his youth and took part in acting classes from ages seven to eleven. He obtains his college degree in Creative Arts Film Specialization at Champlain College. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in communication at Concordia University in Montreal, specializing in video production in 2019. Throughout his studies, he wrote and developed several short films including the final short in his college film program titled: Extra Credit.
During the pandemic, he launched the Stout Un Film Podcast, marrying his passion for craft beers and cinema. After meeting several influential figures through this endeavour, Charles followed his dream of directing films. In December 2023, his first short premiered at the Cabane à Sang Film Festival. He has since directed four other shorts, three of which are currently campaigning for a festival run throughout 2024 and 2025. His latest short film is set to premiere in July 2025.
